Plant Ecophysology Research Network

Area of work, interest, experience 

Our scientific research work develops in the area of plant ecophysiology. We are interested in understanding plant responses to different environmental cues, thus contributing to solve ecological, agronomic and silvicultural problems. Our current research lines focus on desert and crop plants that have an ecological or productive value in the province of Mendoza, and in Cuyo region.

Our current research is being carried out on the following topics: the restoration of degraded drylands, the use of desert woody species for non-timber resources, the ecology of seed dispersal by animals, and the improvement of grape and forest production in Cuyo region.

How the network works

We are researchers, Ph. D. students, and technical staff belonging to different Institutes, who work in collaboration in various research projects, and in the training of human resources.
